KICKIT MARKET ROME, THE FULL RECAP
What can we say except that the first edition of the KickIt market in Rome was a hit? It was just like that, a full success! With hundreds of people quequing outside the location of the event since early morning, the place has been full packed all day long, starting from 12pm with the doors opening, until 8pm when the first tables started to pack their grails to drive back home. At KickIt you could find dope sneakers from the latest releases like those offered by Mesh&Laces, selected vintage kicks by Sneak My Style, sneaker collectors like Lorenzone and his stunning grails such as the Nike Air Mag, hype streetwear and accessories from Supreme, Stone Island and Thrasher, some underground labels and quality sneaker art by the German collective Need More, innovative sneaker boxes by CrystallBox, the first Italian sneaker cleaner by the good guys of DenaLab, as well as tattoo artists, workshops, good food, great music, nice people and guests such as Shoenica, one of the Masters Of Air. The Vinile, a worldly location close to the heart of Rome, was a good place for this first edition but thanks to the few thousand people that attended the event, the KickIt team will need to find a bigger space for their second event that has already been announced for Spring 2018. We want to thank Fabrizio and all the KickIt family for having us and we can't wait for the round two. Enjoy our photo recap and the video made by our friends from Sneakerare... Roma caput mundi! -

SNEAKERNESS ZURICH 2017, THE FULL RECAP
This year there were definitely some main news at Sneakerness Zurich: new, bigger and better location, tournaments, break dancing contests, panel discussions, the release of the book "TheSneakersBox - A Guide To Sneaker Culture", and the participation of the artist, designer and illustrator, Gary Lockwood, who is worldwide famous for his gas masks created from dope sneakers. An exclusive pre-release of the book was organized the day before Sneakerness, during the official warm-up event at $auce store. The pre-event has been cheered by chicken wings with bbq sauce and fresh beers, melted with a dope selection of hip-hop and trap music played by two djs. Good vibes, nice people and dressed to kill sneakerheads made the event a success. At Sneakerness, on the ground floor, you could find a great selection of sneakers to satisfy everyone's taste, from OGs to hype stuff, from the latest releases to some great deals. Upstairs, on the balcony, it has been set up a stage for the panel discussions attended by some important names in the sneaker game such as Kish Kash, Hickmet Sugoer, El Zapatillaz Tio, Sergio Muster, Franky B and Shoenica, just to name a few. On the same floor there was a "sneaker culture wall" where TheSneakersBox displayed its long awaited book along with a photographic exhibition by El Zapatillaz Tio, an artistic exhibition by Kwills and an important selection of sneakers straight from the OG archive of the Finnish brand Karhu. The ninth edition of Sneakerness Zurich was a great success, once again, and for those who missed it, check out our photo recap! Pics by Alain Citton, El Zapatillaz Tio, TSB -

CELEBRATING THE JORDAN LEGACY IN MADRID
After the AJ1 Shattered Backboard hit retailers worldwide last Saturday, we were invited by the Oregon based brand to attend a special invite-only event held in Madrid, the "Defy Gravity". The place where the event was held was the already known to us Teatro Principe Pio, home of the first edition of Madrid’s event Dashape. The event kicked off with a red carpet reception in which familiar faces could be seen entering, people from the fashion industry, artists, and a few a-list celebs also. One thing in common: they were all dressed to impress, and with no exception, had some exquisite J’s on. Upon entering the building erected for the event, the circular shape threw us off at first, but we soon began to understand the meaning of it all: we were in for a special treat. The inner circle that had a stage and a basketball hoop in the middle was lined with the Jordan XXXI predecessors, from Jordan I to the 31st model, they were all there, all special treated in triple white, beautifully displayed. But that wasn’t everything, the brand had a couple surprises, aces up their sleeve. It ended up being an event kicked off by Jordan’s magical Backboard Shattering at the '86 tour. Throughout the night we celebrated Jordan, and his legacy. One to be remembered. Pics by Juanma Jmse
