When it comes to Asics, no one can argue that they have some of the best materials and are known for having a few pieces that have become a staple to the sneaker and streetwear industry. So when we first heard of their upcoming boot we began to feel a familiar itch, an itch to know more, know how, and, above all, what form it would be in… and we’ve finally seen it. It's fucking beautiful. Asics came at us in 2016 with a couple all-weather sneakers, including the infamous Asics x Bodega GLV that had a Gore-Tex inner liner that was Boston-weather-proof. And our only guess is that they were inspired by the positive response, and decided to take it one step further. The upper of the Asics Gel Lyte MT takes shape inspired by a combination of the Gel Lyte III and an inner sock, to better protect from the elements, while the heel clip comes from the Respector. We will see the first versions in two beautiful colorways: the first one has a gray upper, with cockatoo accents in pop style, while the midsole, with gray streaks and cockatoo details making the heel stand out. The second colorway has the same block, but in a mixture of ink and sand, while the contrast comes in a hot pink. If you don't want to miss the chance to put your hands on this double release, mark on the calendar that the launch of the Asics Gel Lyte III MT is set on Saturday, October 1st, in selected retailers of the Japanese brand, such as Kosmos.
