MIZUNO REVEALS THE CITY WIND AT GINNIKA
The fifth edition of Ginnika has come to an end, however the Capitoline event brought a breath of fresh air into the Italian sneaker scene also thanks to the preview of one of the new models from the Mizuno SportStyle collection, the City Wind.
The Japanese brand has made an important step into the international sneaker scene thanks to recent collaborations with Mita and Highsnobiety, and for the event in Rome they treated us with a preview of their court model.
TheSneakersBox had the pleasure of actively participating in the unvealing of this new sneaker hosting the talk in which Wes Tyerman, creative director of Mizuno, told us about the future plans of the brand and presented a special edition of the City Wind in collaboration with the Milanese customizers of Mundus Hub and Ghemon, Italian rapper and authentic sneaker enthusiast.
The City Wind comes straight out from the 1990 tennis catalog of the brand and stays true to the original silhouette with the release of two OG colorways which will be joined by two solid color versions, one in total white and one in total black.

SAUCONY x EXTRA BUTTER: SHADOW 6000 "WHITE RABBIT"
After the exclusive drop at Extra Butter at the end of December, it’s finally time for the international release of the Shadow 6000 “White Rabbit”, the last collaboration effort coming from Saucony and the New York based sneaker boutique Extra Butter.
The shoe takes inspiration from movies about “freeing your mind” like Matrix, and takes its nickname from the White Rabbit character of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
The shoe features premium materials like leather, suede and nylon mesh, red and blue “Extra Butter” rubber tag, removable pieces that hide collaborators secret identity while the sneaker box boasts a psychedelic graphic.
