The Sneakers Box - MIZUNO x AFEW x FORTUNA: SKY MEDAL "HEIMAT"

MIZUNO x AFEW x FORTUNA: SKY MEDAL "HEIMAT"

Following the exclusive drop at Afew in April, it's finally time for the international release of the latest collaboration between the Düsseldorf based sneaker store and the Japanese sportswear brand Mizuno.

Düsseldorf is a very lively city thanks to its multicultural and cosmopolitan population, reason why Afew decided to team up also with the local football club Fortuna Düsseldorf to give birth to a three hands collaboration to celebrate a city where every culture is welcome, where everyone lives together peacefully.

The protagonist of this special project is the Mizuno Sky Medal, nicknamed "Heimat" - German for Home, the best way to represent your hometown through your local sports club.

The shoe shows off a white leather and nylon upper with red and black inserts, and green details. The "AF95EW" lettering on the heel is a blend of AFEW + F95, the Fortuna’s very own logo, which refers to their foundation in 1895.

The side panels and the laces are cutomized with a graphic where "Heimat" is written down in more than 30 different languages, while the insoles boast a graphic with the numbers "95" and "12", that stand for the Fortuna’s founding year and for the "12th man" on the pitch, namely the team supporters.

If you don't want to miss the chance to put your hands on this dope collaboration, mark on your calendar that the Mizuno x Afew x Fortuna "Sky Medal - Heimat" is set to release on Saturday, May 4th, through selected retailers bounded to the Japanese brand.
