The Sneakers Box - SAUCONY SHADOW 5000 x THE QUIET LIFE

SAUCONY SHADOW 5000 x THE QUIET LIFE

The Quiet Life is so much more than just a streetwear brand. Company founder (Andy Mueller) first launched the idea of TQL almost 20 years ago, and in its origins has ties to the skate world. But the path chosen by the young creative was clearly a successful one, but nobody could have imagined the incredible success TQL would have as a streetwear icon. In recent years, they have transitioned into a streetwear brand but with a clear relationship to the skateboarding community, the infamous phrase “never forget your origins” seems like an underlying truth for the company as they continue to grow. And their most recent collaboration is just one more sign of this. Teaming up with Saucony is a dream come true for many. The heritage running company has some of the most iconic and sought-after collaborations under its belt, the ongoing Saucony Elite brand in collaboration with Bodega is huge, the END x Saucony “Burger” made headlines across the globe, or even more recently, the Epitome collaboration also caused quite excitement. So its no surprise when the two announced their partnership, and to that fact, its no surprise the sneaker is absolutely killer. The chosen Silhouette is a community favorite: the Shadow 5000. The color blacking pays homage to some of the most iconic pieces TQL has released thus far. The Cosmos Motif used for the sneaker has appeared on numerous pieces, from crewnecks, to 5 panels, if you have been following the brand for a while, you have seen this before. The materials used are some of the best, seeing treatment as premium nylon, nubuck, and leather. The Cosmos effect comes highlighted by a tiffany blue heel and Saucony’s iconic circles on the side with the same treatment. Dubbed “The Quiet Shadow”, after the exclusive launch at The Quiet Life the collaboration is finally set to release and expected to hit selected international Saucony retailers on Saturday, June 11th, such as Kosmos,  Solebox, Asphaltgold and Paar.
