NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO "J-PACK", OUT OF THE SHADOW
Nike SB Dunks have been in demand for 2020 due to a lot of collaborations and a lot of hype, but the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro J-Pack release of the “Shadow” colorway is a much-needed addition in a staple color to add your collection as true Dunks lover.
The J-Pack Dunks debuted 15 years ago in 2005 with the “Royal” J-Pack release and are inspired by the color blocking of the Air Jordan 1's. The “Shadow” stays true to its namesake with a mix of soft tumbled leather and lush suede in black and grey throughout the upper.
The Swoosh is grey also, but, wait for it - it’s a buttery suede instead of leather. The upper is encased in black leather and suede, while grey accents continue in the flat, wax laces and so is the outsole. The insole boasts the Zoom Air cushioning system and the shoe is completed by the clean white midsole that gives a little light to the shadows in the upper.
You can find these gems in selected sneaker stores around the globe and on TheSneakersBox Marketplace.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH SNEAKER EVENTS DURING COVID-19?
Unfortunately, we have missed out on some key sneaker events due to the Coronavirus crisis. But, if you haven't lost your sneaker addiction, strap on your masks and follow the safety rules because some sneaker events are still scheduled to take place during the pandemic. Whether you are in Dallas or Stuttgart you can check out sneaker events as early as the weekend of May 30th.
Crepe City Manchester, Deadstock Eindhoven and Sneakers Event Paris, initially scheduled for March and April, are all cancelled due to the Covid-19, while Sneaker Con Cleveland, initially planned for March, is now scheduled for June 13th at the Huntington Convention Center.
Sneaker Con Dallas is one of their biggest events in the USA and is currently scheduled May 30th – May 31st from 12 – 7 pm at the Dallas Market Center. Check out the Trading Pit that provides the biggest collection of vendors and sneakers to purchase. LEGIT is the booth that will educate you on how to tell an authentic vs. a fake so you are always buying 100% authentic kicks. Sneaker Con has committed to working with local health officials to make all adjustments necessary to its plans as needed.
Sneakerness Amsterdam was originally scheduled for May 30th – May 31st yet, the Dutch government has a ban for events until June 1st. Sneakerness Amsterdam is postponed until May 29th – May 30th 2021. According to their website tickets purchased for Sneakerness Amsterdam will stay valid for Sneakerness Rotterdam 2020 (TBD) or Sneakerness Amsterdam 2021.
Kicks-N-Coffee is currently scheduled June 13th from 12 – 6 pm in Stuttgart, Germany, at Im Wizemann. Whether you are sneaker savvy or a newbie to the scene Kicks-N-Coffee boasts providing a friendly environment with kicks, music and of course, coffee.
Sneaker Summit Austin is slated for June 27th and Laced Up Munich for July 5th, while the team of Ginnika has already announced that the event scheduled in Rome for the end of May has been cancelled.
Open your sneakers box, pull on your gloves, adjust your masks and most importantly: follow the instructions of the officials of the event for public health and safety if you plan on attending one of these sneaker events throughout the world!*All events are subject to change and The Sneakers Box will update its events page accordingly.
KARHU SYNCHRON CLASSIC OG, DEFINITELY A MUST-HAVE
Karhu’s Synchron Classic OG is not only a classic, it is an icon. The asymmetrical lacing system in the forefoot automatically identifies this beauty as a unique sneaker that deems a place in your closet and to be worn on your feet.
The Synchron was created to give a better fitting upper with this distinctive lacing system. In the ’90s Karhu upped their technology game by adding dual-density foam to the midsole and the Synchron Classic made a comeback in 2016 to celebrate Karhu’s 100th anniversary.
Kicking off a new decade, today’s version gives a nod to being an OG with the classic grey upper colorway, yet the modern twist is the smooth pigskin suede. The tech mesh underlays and rubber outsole keep the sleek sportiness associated with the original Synchron. And what is sportier than the bold cobalt blue and red colors that are accented in the logo and the laces?
Karhu’s innovation continues with its Air Cushion Technology that has a visible peek in the outsole. The comfort is still prominent with a compression-molded EVA midsole and heel cap to keep your stride in place.
You can find the Karhu Synchron Classic OG in selected sneaker stores around the globe and on TheSneakersBox Marketplace, of course!
