ADIDAS x NEIGHBORHOOD CAPSULE COLLECTION
It is a four-handed collaboration between Adidas and the Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood led by Shinsuke Takazawa who, remaining faithful to his monochromatic roots, is preparing to launch a capsule collection composed of four sneakers and some clothing items.
Inspired by motorcycle culture with the prevalence of black with white inserts, the four protagonists of the collection are:
NMD R1 PK. Abused by the brand with three-stripes, this time it has been updated with some interesting details such as the reinforcement on the heel with the writing NEIGHBORHOOD. The color is almost a total black including the Boost midsole, with white details like the geometric triangles all around the toe box that look like "shark teeth".
GAZZELLE SUPER. The reinterpretation of this classic model has the upper completely made of black Primeknit as the outsole, with the sole exception of the writings of the brand on the side panels and on the heel that are printed in white.
CHOP SHOP. This new model has been created specifically for this collaboration and it's an upgrade of the I-5923. Built with stiffer materials but with the same Boost midsole of the Iniki, it's also characterized with the "shark teeth" around the heel.
I-5923. The last is the most interesting model of the four, the Iniki, that shows off a total black upper and Boost, completed by the white outsole. There is also an additional plastic shell on the heel as many customers considered this model too fragile.
Last but not least, this capsule collection is completed by some interesting apparel items, like jackets, pants and t-shirts.
The release of the Adidas X Neighborhood capsule collection is set on Saturday, February 24th, in selected stores bounded to the Trefoil brand, such as aphaltgold, Sneakers76, Suede, 43einhalb, Hanon, Overkill, Slam Jam, The Good Will Out and BSTN.
